Asphalt Sealcoating – Protect & Extend Your Asphalt’s Life
The seal coating process is essential for maintaining the pavement’s quality and durability. It replenishes oils and sand in the asphalt, forming a protective layer that:
Guards against soft spots and the damaging effects of sun exposure and traffic.
Prevents oil and stain penetration from vehicles.
Enhances overall pavement strength, significantly extending its lifespan.
For newly paved asphalt, seal coating is highly recommended as it ensures long-term durability and keeps your parking lot in top condition for years to come.
In this video, we showcase the meticulous process of asphalt paving, from initial site preparation to the final smooth surface. Our team employs advanced equipment and techniques to ensure durability and quality in every project. Whether you're considering a new driveway, parking lot, or road, this video provides an in-depth look at the steps involved in creating a reliable asphalt surface. For more media CLICK HERE!
asphalt Grind & Overlay – Cost-Effective Asphalt Restoration
An asphalt overlay is a cost-effective and efficient solution for resurfacing roads, parking lots, and driveways because it provides a new, smooth surface without the need for complete reconstruction. Here’s why it’s both cheap and effective:
Cost-Effectiveness:
1. Minimal Material & Labor Costs – Instead of tearing out and replacing the entire pavement, an overlay adds a fresh layer of asphalt over the existing surface, reducing material and labor expenses.
2. Faster Installation – Overlays can often be completed in a matter of hours or days, reducing labor costs and minimizing road closures.
3. Less Equipment Needed– The process typically requires milling machines and pavers, but not the heavy excavation equipment needed for full-depth replacement.
4. Extends Pavement Life – Instead of costly full reconstruction, an overlay adds years of usability to the existing pavement, delaying major expenses.
Effectiveness:
1. Restores Smoothness – A fresh asphalt layer covers cracks, potholes, and surface damage, improving ride quality.
2. Enhances Appearance – A new asphalt layer improves the curb appeal and aesthetics of roads and parking lots.
3. Improves Safety – By eliminating ruts and cracks, an overlay reduces the risk of accidents caused by uneven surfaces.
4. Durability with Proper Prep – If the base structure is still strong, an overlay can last 10-15 years with proper maintenance.
However, overlays are not a permanent fix for deep structural issues. If the foundation is compromised, full-depth reclamation or reconstruction may be necessary.
asphalt Remove & Replace Asphalt – Durable & Long-Lasting Paving Solutions
Asphalt remove and replace(also called full-depth asphalt replacement) is a more extensive repair method than an overlay. It involves completely removing the existing asphalt and installing a brand-new surface. This method is used when the pavement has deep structural issues that an overlay cannot fix.
Process of Asphalt Removal and Replacement:
1. Assessment & Marking – The damaged area is inspected to determine the extent of the problem.
2. Saw Cutting & Removal – The old asphalt is cut and removed, sometimes including the subbase if it’s compromised.
3. Base Repair & Preparation – The underlying base is inspected and either repaired, regraded, or replaced if needed.
4. New Asphalt Installation– A new asphalt layer is installed, typically in multiple lifts (layers) to ensure durability.
5. Compaction & Finishing– The asphalt is compacted using rollers to create a smooth, stable surface.
When to Choose Remove and Replace Over an Overlay:
• Severe Cracking (Alligator Cracking) – Indicates a weak base that cannot support an overlay.
• Deep Potholes & Rutting– If the damage extends beyond the surface, a simple overlay won
